Rumblings from the president:
Bulldog’s Bite
Dear Thunder Makers:
As we move into September we have several important events. The 9-11 commemoration at the Rutherford County Sherriff’s Department, the flag raisings at the Tennessee Welcome Centers and participation in POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremonies at Americus and Andersonville, Georgia. Tennessee Chapter One is making a difference in many ways. Many of you attended the special day with Jerry Reed at the Murfreesboro VA Hospital earlier this year. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Reed family as we remember the life of a great American. Jerry made us laugh, gave us new perspectives with his music and touched us with his love and assistance for our nation’s veterans. He will not be forgotten. We will hold elections at our membership meeting on September 28. We will select our new Vice-President, Chairman of the Board, Treasurer and two board members. Your vote is important to the direction of the chapter and I hope you plan to attend the meeting and cast your vote. We are looking for a date to have a chapter get together before we get into the holidays. Please give us suggestions on what you would like to do. We work hard and need to play hard too.
Be proud – You’re Rolling Thunder
Bulldog
